Biography

Hieronymus Harry invokes a time, place, and feeling that is strikingly different from our present moment. Harkening back to the late 1960s when artists like Skip Spence, Pentangle, and the Incredible String Band conjured madcap, mystical worlds, Harry’s music captures naturalistic performances on acoustic instruments to create spellbinding surrealist folk songs. His 2022 debut album "The River of Doom" was re-released to vinyl in the summer of 2023 via Echodelick Records (US), Ramble Records (AUS) and We, Here and Now Recordings (CAN).

With a seasoned ensemble around him, Harry has performed entrancing concerts as Hieronymus Harry since 2019. Notable appearances include festivals such as Do West Fest (2024), Oscillitarium (2021-23) and Hollowfest (2019), as well as shows with Sir Richard Bishop (Sun City Girls), Marker Starling, Joseph Allred, and more. Harry has been a recording and live member of many acts in Toronto including Bart, Shirley Hurt, ROY, ZONES and Zoon.
